For my friends who are Friday Harbor locals:
Hello all! I would like to invite those who are interested in plants, herbalism and holistic health to come join the herby extension of the Grange's mutual aid group as we explore bitter plant medicine! The workshop will be from 5:30pm-7:30pm. I will be sharing some information about the role of bitters in our bodies, and providing some herbal tinctures to sample. I will also have a gallon of locally sourced motherwort tea to share. My dear friend Rose will guide us through some breathwork that may be paired with your choice of herby friends. After the presentation and breathwork, feel free to stick around to visit and get acquainted with like-minded folks in the community. BYOV (bring your own vessel) for drinks, and consider bringing your favorite snack as bitters can work up an appetite.
Apologies for the late notification. In the future, these meetings will be announced further ahead of time. The herbal mutual aid group aims to meet at the Grange every second Wednesday of the month in the evening. We look forward to seeing your smiling faces!
A note on accessibility: The bitters we will be sampling are in a base of vodka, and while the amount of alcohol consumed is negligible and will not be intoxicating as it is a small dose, I'd like to give a heads up for those who avoid alcohol. There will be motherwort tea for those who are uninterested in the tinctures.
